The River City Chorale Registration Now Open to New Singers

The River City Chorale begins its fourth season on May 14

Andrew Haase, Hudson High School Director of Choral Activities is looking for singers interested in joining the fourth annual River City Chorale. This ensemble will rehearse on Mondays from 7-9pm and will begin rehearsal on Monday, May 14. Performances are scheduled for 7pm on Monday, July 23, at the high school and 7pm on Thursday, July 26, at the Lakefront Park bandshell. Beginning the week of July 4, rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Wednesday from 7-9pm. There will be no rehearsal on Memorial Day or Independence Day. 

Registration will take place online this year. Singers are asked to visit TheRiverCityChorale.org to register and reserve music. Singers will be able to pick up their music, practice CD and pay their $25 dues 6-8pm on Monday, May 7 at the First Presbyterian Church.  

This will also be the Chorale’s new location for rehearsals.

The River City Chorale is open to all singers interested in performing challenging, fun and rewarding choral literature.  There is no audition process for this ensemble, however previous singing experience is recommended. Previous singing experience may include participating in high school, collegiate, church or community choirs.

The choir will be lead by accompanist Jodell Krause and conductor Andrew Haase. Haase is the Director of Choral Activities at Hudson High School in Hudson, WI, a position he has held since 2001. Haase conducts the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Exultate, Men’s Ensemble and serves as Music Director for the annual Musical.  Haase received his Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal music education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and a Master of Music degree in Conducting and Choral Literature from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.
