Burglars Strike Smokedale Tobacco, Kingdom Buffet, Mike's BP

Less than a week after Mike's Standard Service BP gas station was broken into and ransacked, Smokedale Tobacco and Kingdom Buffet were victims of late-night burglaries.

Less than a week after Mike's Standard Service was broken into and ransacked, Smokedale Tobacco and Kingdom Buffet were victims of burglaries in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 3.

At Smokedale Tobacco, the front door was smashed in and a second door was pried open. Cash and a small amount of tobacco was taken, according to Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen.

At Kingdom Buffet, a window was smashed in a door, and cash was taken from a cash register, Jensen said.

Last week, in the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 25, Mike's Standard Service BP station on Coulee Road was broken into in a similar manner. Nothing appeared to have been taken from Mike's but the front lobby area was left in disarray, according to Jensen.

Jensen said police have no suspects at this time, and investigations are underway.
