Deciding the winners for Patch’s local Halloween Contest wasn’t easy (great submissions to all who participated).

But after deliberation, the winners are …

Grand Prize: Monique from Oakdale for the photo of Zander as "Dinner" & Daniel as the "Chef."

Second Place: Deb from Stillwater with the Andrew’s functional digital camera.

Again, thank you for your submissions. These were all great costumes to look at—very creative.

UPDATED FROM Tuesday:

Halloween is right around the corner, and Patch wants to see photos of your best Halloween costumes, whether that’s from the past or present, or zombies or vampires.

Patch has partnered with Axdahl’s Farm and Garden Center to offer up some great prizes.

The costume contest opens today and closes Friday, Oct. 19 at noon, shortly thereafter the winners will be announced.

Here’s the deal:

Upload your best Halloween costume photos this week and the Patch.com editors in Stillwater, Hudson, Woodbury and Oakdale Patch will select two winners.

The Grand Prize winner will receive four tickets to Axdahl’s FarmScare (or four tickets for hayrides if you have children too young for the haunted trail).

The second-place winner will receive credit toward pumpkins or other fall decor from Axdahl’s.

For official contest rules, please click here.

By day, the action at Axdahl’s is family-friendly and centers around Spookley the Square Pumpkin. There are hayrides, pick your own pumpkin patch, animals to feed and pet—two miniature horses, a pot belly pig, two dwarf goats and a Nubian goat.

But at dusk, Axdahl’s transforms into FarmScare.

ABOUT FARMSCARE: There are more than 20 costumed actors throughout the trail of terror through Axdahl’s barn, wooded path, corn maze and the "red" room.

RATED: S (for scary) Not recommended for children under 14. (13 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

DATES: Friday and Saturday evenings in October: 19-20 and 26-27.

HOURS: Dusk-10 p.m.

Good luck! And happy Halloween!
