Hilltop Pumpkin Party Draws Thousands
The Hilltop Pumpkin Party in Hudson was a big hit with parents and kids alike.
Thousands of kids and parents came out for the Hilltop Pumpkin Party at YMCA Camp St. Croix on Saturday.
The event offered pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses and a variety of kids games run by local businesses.
"We've had a great turnout this year," said Kami Telschow, chair of the Hilltop Pumpkin Party. It's estimated 3,000 people came out this year.
"This event always brings out a crowd," Telschow said. "It's usually one of the last nice fall weekends, it's a great place for kids to show off their costumes and it's free. All in all, a great event."
Parents like Jodi Johnson say their kids look forward to the event every year.
"Seriously, my kids have been looking forward to this event for months," Johson said. "I think they enjoyed the petting zoo the most this year."
The event was put on by the I-94 Business Alliance Committee, a subcomitte of the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau.

Kami, her husband Mike and the entire team put on an amazing FREE event for the families and community to enjoy. It is a great place for local businesses to showcase their product or service. There are so many fun & exciting things for the kids to see and do. Again, let me say FREE. Thanks to all who worked on, participated in or sponsored this event.
