Johnson Controls to Close Hudson Plant; 51 Jobs Lost

The Hudson plant will begin layoffs in mid-December, according to the WARN notice.

According to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice issued by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), the plant in Hudson will close this winter. An estimated 51 employees will be affected by the plant closure.

According to the notice, separations are expected to begin in mid-December and continue through February. DWD is working with the West Central Workforce Development Board to provide rapid response services for the displaced workers.

The news release section of the Johnson Controls website makes no mention of the plant closure or layoffs. In fact, the company's lastest news release was issued less than a week ago, and it touts "$44 Billion in Sales with Double-Digit Earnings Improvements in Fiscal 2012" in its headline.
