UPDATE: UW-River Falls Professor Acquitted in Sexual Assault Trial

A jury of seven men and five women has found UW-River Falls professor Thomas Barnett not-guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in an August 2011 confrontation at the Hudson Theatre.

UPDATE (11:01 a.m., April 14, 2012): UW-River Falls professor Thomas Barnett has been found not-guilty of second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16. He also was found not-guilty of false imprisonment.

UPDATE (7:40 p.m., April 13, 2012): The jury has been sent home for the evening and will return to the courthouse at 9 a.m. to continue deliberating.
