Local Republican Leader to Serve in Duffy Administration

Jesse Garza, chairman of the St. Croix County Republican Party, has accepted a Deputy District Director position on U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy's staff. He begins work in the new role in January once Duffy begins his second term.

Jesse Garza, the chairman of the St. Croix County Republican Party, has accepted a position as District Deputy Director for newly re-elected U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy(R-WI 7).

According to Garza, his work within the Duffy administration will begin in January once the congressman starts his second term. Garza will work under District Director Dave Anderson

"It will be wonderful to help convey Duffy's message in the Seventh Congressional District, on the official side," Garza said. "It's a wonderful opportunity for me and for my family just to know that I'll be able to help the district, not in a political way, but by helping all the constituents in the Seventh District. It'll be fun, it'll be different for me, and I look forward to it."

Garza said he plans to continue his role as the county party's chairman in his off time, ensuring all party political work is kept separate from all governmental work.

So Garza is now an official "Moocher & Taker" as he will be paid by the much-maligned "Gummint".

"Cronyism is partiality to long-standing friends, especially by appointing them to positions of authority, regardless of their qualifications. Hence, cronyism is contrary in practice and principle to meritocracy.
Cronyism exists when the appointer and the beneficiary are in social contact; often, the appointer is inadequate to hold his or her own job or position of authority, and for this reason the appointer appoints individuals who will not try to weaken him or her, or express views contrary to those of the appointer. Politically, "cronyism" is derogatorily used."

Maybe there would be less criticism of Republicans if they did pull SECRET Shenanigans like this:

http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/lawmakers-were-made-to-pledge-secrecy-over-redistricting-9643ep0-138826854.html
Madison - As legislative leaders secretly developed new election maps last year to strengthen their majority, Republican lawmakers were told to ignore public comments and instead focus on what was said in private strategy sessions, according to a GOP memo that became public Monday.

Bagger, gerrymandering has been practice by the powers in charge for the last hundred years. It’s not unique to the Republicans.

Why don't you haters grow up. Leave Jesse alone. It is so rude and immature. Get over it all. I would hate to live life with as much anger as you all carry around. It is just not healthy. Try smiling and not caring for just a little bit. It may even make you a better person

bblair, You're right gerrymandering is not new, what is new is drawing the districts behind closed doors, without public input and requiring Republican legislators to sign an oath to not discuss the new maps. So much for open and transparent government in Wisconsin.

Isn't this guy going to be one of those earning a "taxpayer-funded paycheck with Cadillac benefits"? How does one be anti-government when they work for the government?

It's just what the "moochers" and "takers" do. Remember Jesse is going to be working for Rep. Duffy who has a tough time making it on his $174,000 gummint salary.

It's pure Ayn Rand who "mooched" off of Social Security and Medicare after spending her life ranting against such programs. Some might refer to these behaviors as "hypocritical".

Captain Midnight; just because you don't believe in a program doesn't mean you can't take advantage of it considering you are paying for it your entire working career. I think social security should become partially privatized and I think the age should be increased and benefits decreased. Just because I don't like the way the program is run doesn't mean I won't take advantage of it when I retire. I am the one who is paying for my "supposed" retirement account.

You're all so hypocritical any government employee is paid by the taxpayers. Get over it. Maybe we should continue to privatize everything then those who work our public works will be out of jobs. Come on people!! Look at those great Democratic leaders we have. Our President won't deal with pressing issues till he is assured re-election. Instead of concentrating on jobs he creates Obamacare a bill which your beloved Nancy Pelosi probably still hasn't read. Yes Jesse is evil, he was seeking a job and took one. Bad man Jesse, you should have sat on your butt and collected unemployment for the next 3 years. Oh wait that is also paid for by the tax payer. That must have been a difficult decision. Apply for a job, interview, earn the job, get paid to work.....or sit your ass on the couch and eat Little Debbies since Hostess is no longer. I commend you Jesse you take a lot of crap for just being a guy who wants to care for his family.

@Chadwick -- Ayn Rand did pay into Medicare and Social Security, but when she applied for both of these benefits she did so using her husband's name so that no one knew that she was being a hypocritical "moocher".

@Lil Guy -- You are mis-stating what Pelosi said and meant. When she made that comment, the entire content of the ACA was not decided as pieces of the legislation were still being changed and written. So, her commnet was directed at saying to complete the legislation, approve it and then its final comments would be known. Again, those pesky facts and reality get in the way.

Cronyism coming from a bunch of liberal hacks on this site is hilarious...one name...the only name you need to know...the REAL keeper of the dear leader, Valerie Jarrett. Talk about a crony hack making millions of our backs to bring our country back to the 1800's.

@Captian, with that logic, you are saying it is ok to approve and vote on something that is not entirely complete.
