The Stillwater Lift Bridge is on track to reopen in a few weeks.
MnDOT on Monday announced that the $3.4 million rehabilitation project that closed the Lift Bridge to motor vehicles on Sept. 10 may reopen by the end of the first week of December, weather permitting.
Crews are about 70 percent finished with the project, according to MnDOT.
The official detour routes during the closure of the Lift Bridge continue to be the I-94 Bridge at Hudson or at the Hwy 243 Bridge in Osceola.
Rehabilitation of the historic bridge focuses on repairing steel connections, replacing and repairing various mechanical and electrical components, replacing concrete driving surfaces, repairing floor beams, painting portions of the bridge and replacing guardrail and curb and gutter.
