New Shops Coming to Carmichael Road's Ban Tara Development
Up to six new shops could soon be coming to the Ban Tara development at the corner of Carmichael Road and Center Drive. The developer says he already has tenants lined up to sign leases once city council approves the plans.
The City of Hudson Plan Commission on Thursday approved final development plans for another retail building in the Ban Tara development at the corner of Carmichael Road and Center Drive just south of Chipotle Mexican Grill, FedEx Office Print & Ship Center and Verizon Wireless.
The 11,776-square-foot building will have space for up to six tenants, and it will look just like other the Ban Tara buildings in the development, which house popular chain shops including Chipotle, Starbucks Coffee, Buffalo Wild Wings and Cold Stone Creamery.
"It will be another building similar to those," said David Robson, a Ban Tara partner. "It will have most likely six tenants in it."
Even though the plans must still be approved at the July 23 City of Hudson Common Council meeting, Robson said he has been in the process of negotiating with tenants for quite some time.
"We do have some tenants lined up, but we haven't executed the leases," Robson said. "We expect to have those signed within a week or two. We've negotiated the leases, we just haven't executed them. It's a complicated process with these national tenants. They want to have their floor plans all drawn, and they want to have their sign packages included so they know everything they want to do is already approved."
