Argument over.
Victory!!!

Hudson Patch Editor Micheal Foley, a Packers fan, and Stillwater Patch Editor Shawn Hogendorf, a Vikings fan, are each putting their beer where their mouth is in the form of a friendly wager on Saturday's Packers-Vikings playoff game.

If Green Bay wins, Foley will receive a six-pack of Lift Bridge Brewing's Chestnut Hill beer brewed in Stillwater, and if Minnesota wins, Hogendorf will receive a six-pack of American Sky Beer's Tailgunner Gold beer brewed in Hudson.

According to WCCO, Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak placed a food wager on the game earlier this week:

If the Vikings win, Mayor Rybak will get BelGioioso cheese, Sno-Cap Root Beer from Titletown Brewing Company and Beernsten’s candies — all from Green Bay. If the Packers win, Mayor Schmitt will receive house-made sausages from Minneapolis restaurant Butcher and the Boar.

The game will take place 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, and it will be aired on NBC.

Which team are you rooting for? Leave your good-natured and profanity-free trash talk in the comments.

Let's see what you've got! Upload photos of you and your family and friends in your Packers and Vikings gear.

Easy, KJ. That could be taken as an insult in Minnesota....
I'm not fair-weather:)

Just so everyone knows, Shawn didn't even have a Vikings jersey. He grabbed that one at Kohl's and left the tags on it so he can return it as soon as the Vikings lose on Saturday.

I think we're going to see Adrian Peterson gain about 56 yards on Saturday....The weather is going to freeze him up as Vikings lose by double digits!

Packers in a 2+ score rout. Defense comes up big and scores.

Q: Why are the vikings purple?

A: You would be too if you were choking for 50 years.

Defense comes up big?
Please.
I can see Rodgers getting it going, but to say the Packers D can stop anyone is a stretch.

We shall see. They have been maligned lately but have been pretty decent for the season. Definitely top 1/2 of league and at 1 point top 10. The pride has been bruised and they are certainly challenged. That is why I expect them as professionals to step it up at home. Ponder is going to be in a position where he is going to have to throw a lot.

Correct, Mick. They finished 11th, which isn't bad at all, but they have been abused lately. I'm not sure I see Ponder throwing a lot (especially on the road in the cold)... Even if the Packers get out to a lead, they haven't proven they can stop AP.

Total bummer but it certainly was fun to be part of the live chat. Thanks Micheal, and I wish you good and plentiful aspirin and lots of rest for tomorrow! ;-)
