Walker Will Meet With John Doe Prosecutors
Also in the news, Ron Kind and Herb Kohl introduce legislation to give Wisconsin National Guard soldiers promised money.
Gov. Scott Walker will meet with Milwaukee County prosecutors to discuss their investigation into whether current and former aides did campaign work on state time.
Walker has hired two defense attorneys, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported, but he maintains that he did nothing wrong.
Last week, county prosecutors filed charges against two staffers who worked directly for Walker while he was county executive, Darlene Wink and Kelly Rindfleisch.
In a statement, Walker said he would be meeting with prosecutors in Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm's office, but he did not specify a date for the meeting.
“Last year, my representatives voluntarily contacted Mr. Chisholm's office to arrange a time to discuss any outstanding issues. I will be voluntarily meeting with Mr. Chisholm,” he said. “To assemble additional background information, I hired counsel to insure that I am in the best position possible to continue aiding the inquiry.”

Rep. Dean Knudson (R-District 30)
- In the Hudson Star-Observer’s opinion section, a citizen fact-checked Knudson’s claim that during the 2004 election, “buses full of voters arrived in River Falls purporting to be UW-RF students.”
Sen. Sheila Harsdorf (R-District 10)
- A fiscal estimate was received for Harsdorf’s bill, S.B. 396, which would allow the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to pay contracted administrators of the livestock premises registration program.
- A public hearing by committee was held for Harsdorf’s bill, S.B. 402, which would allow the waiver of the requirement to obtain a water pollution discharge permit for research projects under certain circumstances.

- Republican state senator Frank Lassee dropped out of the race for Kohl’s seat.

Sure, whenever I don't do something wrong I hire two defense attorneys too.

GD, don't you think that Walker is just doing this to be certain that he did nothing wrong? One high-priced WI based attorney will have his work checked by an astronomically expensive attorney from Chicago.
Hey, isn't Walker and the other TEAPublican always pushing for "Tort Reform"? You know, where people hire lawyers to defend their interests? I suppose that's just another of those "liberal double standard" ideas, where he was for Tort Reform before he was against it.

I guess the protestors in Madison have gone too far in creating a "toxic" atmosphere at the capitol.
So far in fact that Bill Kramer, 97th Assembly District
Republican, feels the need to excercise his 2nd Amendment rights by carrying a Glock to work.
Too bad Kramer can't recognize that other people also have rights too!
"the right to free speech, the right to peaceably assemble and petition my government for redress of grievances, and, according to State Statute 19.90, I also had the right to watch and record my government officials at work. "

Since Sen. Sheila Harsdorf has chosen NOT to allow responses on her Patch Blog, I thought I'd through this little tidbit out here:
From the conservative leaning Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. ( Y'all remember, the folks that endorsed Gov. Scott Walker for Governor ) .
It seems that Republicans really don't want to represent anyone but themselves and the big money interests behind them. Read more here: http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/lawmakers-were-made-to-pledge-secrecy-over-redistricting-9643ep0-138826854.html
