Library Director Linda Donaldson and Board President Barbara Peterson tell the Star Observer that increasing expenses are to blame.
The Hudson Star Observer reported Thursday that the Hudson Area Library will now close two days per week—Sundays and now Mondays—instead of just Sundays. Joint Library Board President Barbara Peterson and Library Director Linda Donaldson told the Star Observer's Randy Hanson that the move comes in an effort to work within its new $849,416 budget approved by the library board last month. The library will also scale back its operating hours on its open days.

The group, with members from Woodbury, Stillwater and Hudson, is gearing up late July shows.

Saturday was a beautiful day to enjoy the festival. We also took the opportunity to visit the Phipps galleries which were open to the public all day. The volunteer on staff noted that they are open every Saturday for Gallery viewing. It was a unique opportunity to view life, imagery, and sculpture through others' eyes. Thank you, Patch, for prominent inclusion of the positive experiences of daily…   more ›
