2012 Population Estimates Released
In early October 2012, the Wisconsin Department of Administration (Demographic Service Center – Division of Intergovernmental Relations) released the January 1, 2012 population estimates for towns (townships), villages, cities, and counties.
St. Croix County, located in west central Wisconsin along the state’s border with Minnesota, added 511 new residents since the 2010 Census for a 0.6 percent increase. The county grew from 84,345 in 2010 to the current estimate of 84,856. The 2000 Census estimated St. Croix’s population at 63,155 residents.
The Demographic Services Center annually produces population estimates for Wisconsin counties and municipalities. The estimates are based on the prior census and analysis of contemporary data including housing units, dormitory and institutional populations, automobile registrations, residential electric meters and others.

I would say Erin Prairie will have to wait. It's population dropped. Richmond township looks to have a better case for LR.

Perhaps a station could be built in Boardman by the bar and run east along the "rabbit road" through the major subdevelopment area, loop by Ready Randy's and head east along G to the Erin Corners bar and head north to Rooster's Road House (formerly the Crimson Cock) to the Other Limits. This link could easily be built along the country roads and a couple of modernized town roads.
Of course, evidently there would be a link to Burkhardt from Boardman, then to Hudson and finally Chicago and the Twin Cities. Since construction hasn't started on the new Stillwater bridge, I see no reason why an extra train-lane can't be added to the bridge now and run a link from Stillwater to Boardman. Evidently, you would want to build a link from Stillwater to the new Vikings stadium to get people to the game as the Vikings become the perrenial Super Bowl champs and dominate the NFL into the next century.
I'm sure this would spur additional commercial and residential development along the line. Perhaps it could be called "Light Headed Rail" or "Not So Sober" train. Of course this can't be done for free and would require some serious government investment. But once Obama wins re-election and can implement the progressive masterplan known as Agenda 21, money will be no object because quantitative easing #666 will be in place and socialism nirvana will be achieved.
Obviously, there are a few details to fine tune, but I see now reason why we can't get everybody on board.

good point with the new bridge though....one would HOPE that there at lead would be some plan for future rail line on it.
