The Hudson Area Library overlooks the St. Croix River with two floors devoted to knowledge and learning. Special areas for teens and children can be found on the second floor of the building, as well as a paid copier for public use, and a free book/book sale room. The library is modern and spacious and has a quiet but lively atmosphere. In its current building since July 2010, the library has been serving the Hudson community from other locations since the early 1900s.

the library sent out request for donations earlier this year and I sent them some money. I have donated books to them for many years - when they were still in the other bldg - they sell them to make money. Where have you been that you don't know about any of this? They appear to be very pro-active in identifying sources of funds other than tax payer dollars.

I personally like the building, and hope they can stay.

We don't need criticism...what we need are solutions. Get involved and enjoy all the benefits where you live.
One suggestion: Make it simple to donate funds. If a person walks in with a check/cash to donate.....Someone should immediately shake their hand or give them a hug and a receipt.
