BALLOONING EDUCATION PROGRAM. Classroom programs on hot air ballooning and Majestic Flyway in Hudson and area schools. Programs coordinated by Hot Air Affair Committee, pilots, Viking Electronics and The UPS Store-Hudson.
10:00 am: MAJESTIC FLYWAY SUPER SALE AND BUTTON INSTANT PRIZES at Hudson businesses. Winter clearance sales and special events. Check your Hot Air Affair button number against numbers posted in participating stores Feb. 1-3 and you could be an instant winner! Pick up your button at the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau office or participating businesses. 11:00 am: BOOK SIGNING Chapter2Books, with wildlife photographer, naturalist and award-winning author Stan Tekiela. Birding Guides and more.
7:00 pm: TORCHLIGHT “MAJESTIC FLYWAY” PARADE, FEATURING PRIZES FOR THE BEST OVERALL PARADE UNIT, THE BEST UNIT BY HOT AIR BALLOONISTS, THE BEST “MAJESTIC FLYWAY” THEME UNIT AND THE BEST KAZOO MARCHING BAND.Hot air balloon pilots and crews displaying blasts of fire. Parade participants line up at 6 pm at Wells Fargo Bank parking lot and parade travels down Second Street. Prizes in each category. 8 pm: CONCERT FEATURING AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST REED GRIMM, Hudson High School Auditorium, sponsored by Youth Action Hudson. Grimm and his talented siblings Jennifer and Trey Grimm perform with proceeds benefiting YAH and Hudson SAFE. General admission tickets at County Market and Family Fresh Market and premier seating tickets at YAH office..
9:00 pm: KARAOKE at Plaza Lounge, Plaza 94.
10:00 pm: DANCE at Dick’s Bar & Grill, 111 Walnut Street.
More About E.P. Rock Elementary School
E.P. Rock Elementary School is on Thirteenth Street in a residential neighborhood. The school sits right alongside the Hudson Raiders varsity football field and track. Named after Edward P. Rock, it is the only school in Hudson School District that is named after a person.
