The following is a long but very impressive bio about Joe:

Joe Brandmeier’s eye for compelling images, his attention to detail, and resilient passion have left him a room filled with national and international awards, and a great reputation as a highly creative Director and Producer. With over 25 years of experience in a variety of areas, Brandmeier has impressed a long list of clients; Prince, MTV, Wyclef Jean, The Beijing Opera Company, NBC and many more. He’s directed two national Emmy-winning PBS specials for financial guru Suze Orman and worked with legendary music producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, documenting their work with artists Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and others. He recently finished a 10-camera production of MN Opera’s “Pulitzer Prize” winning “Silent Night” for world-wide release in 2012.   A music video for Rocket Club’s latest single “North Country” and one for the incredible Alison Scott. “Bringmethenews.com” called on him for a multi-camera production for a debate streamed live and broadcast on the CW network, with the MN Gubernatorial candidates. Brandmeier also traveled to South Africa on a 6 week production for MTV & Endemol, directing the multi-camera music show “Advance Warning”. He’s produced and directed a rare Anniversary Special for radio legend Garrison Keillor, of “A Prairie Home Companion” (a 9 camera Broadcast & DVD) and documented a 180 Music CD Series for Target–with artists Jason Mraz, Kenny Loggins, Brian Wilson, Dave Matthews and more. As a music video director, he’s worked with; The Fugees, Run DMC, Cherelle & Alexander O’Neil. Brandmeier has also produced and directed a number of multi-camera film shoots and music videos for Grammy-winning artist/producer Wyclef Jean – one, in Haiti, with a concert crowd of nearly 65 thousand people. He joined up with Jean again to produce and direct a live concert (with special guest Mary J. Blige) at SOB’s in New York for Music Choice, and again for Jean’s yearly foundation concert in Miami, for The Box Music Network (with Diana King & Mya). Brandmeier’s success in multi-camera productions led to directing a solo performance special with the extraordinary musician, Bobby McFerrin, 3 national PBS specials with financial expert Suze Orman, and the first-ever visit to the U.S. by the Beijing Opera Company, all to rave reviews. Other highlights – a broadcast special with David Hyde Pierce (of NBC’s “Frasier”), on the fearsome disease of Alzheimer’s. Major movie studios have called on Brandmeier’s documentary talents to film behind-the-scenes on a variety of movies; Beautiful Girls, Mighty Ducks, Grumpy Old Men and more. Brandmeier is the founder and creative force behind the well-known (and well respected) Minneapolis based production company, Moving Pictures, Inc. (est. 1987). While there, he established a strong relationship with MTV on a variety of projects; rockumentaries with R.E.M. Motley Crue, and the Beastie Boys, multi-camera movie specials with Keanu Reeves & Christian Slater, an award show with En Vogue and live with U2 on the VMA’s. He worked as a producer for NBC/Viacom’s series “Johnny B. on the Loose” and VH-1’s “Naked Café.”. As Executive Vice President for River Road Entertainment from the end of 1999 to 2002, Brandmeier merged with Bill Pohlad, and spearheaded the development of national programming. Early in 2002, with years of experience, and a fresh eye, Joe Brandmeier returned to his passion for Moving Pictures (Inc.).
