Coming Tuesday: 3–5 Inches of Slushy Snow

The National Weather Service downgraded its Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Weather Advisory for Hudson and a line of counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

You won't be shoveling eight inches of puffy snow Wednesday morning, but you might be dodging sleet and heavy, sloppy flakes Tuesday night.

According to the National Weather Service, which swapped out a Winter Storm Watch for a lesser Winter Weather Advisory, you can look for "rain to quickly transition to a narrow band of moderate to heavy snow. Within this band of of snow many areas should see 3 to 5 inches of snow with locally higher amounts of 6 inches by early Wednesday morning."

The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
