Settlement Includes $80,000 in Fines for Frac Sand Spill
Two Minnesota companies operating in Grantsburg, WI settled with the Wisconsin attorney general, according to St. Croix 360.
Two Minnesota companies have agreed to pay $80,000 in fines in a settlement reached with the Wisconsin attorney general over their 2012 frac-sand mine at Grantsburg, WI spilling into the St. Croix River, according to St. Croix 360.
Tiller Corp. and Interstate Energy Partners agreed to the fines but did not admit to any liability, stcroix360.com reported.
