Where Might Next Dunkin' Donuts Stores Open?

The company lists St. Croix County as not open for franchisees, while surrounding counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin are 'available.' A push is on to open stores in the Gopher State.

Dunkin' Donuts may be about to plunge back into Minnesota, according to media reports.

Potential locations aren't public, but a Dunkin' official told the Star Tribune and St. Paul Pioneer Press that most would be in the Twin Cities area.

If the news sounds familiar, it might be because past efforts to bring Dunkin' Donuts back to Minnesota came to naught, according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. The last Dunkin' location in Minnesota closed in 2005, the Star Tribune reported.

Dunkin' Donuts did not respond to requests for a list of potential locations in Minnesota. The company's franchisee web page lists all parts of the state except St. Louis County as "available markets."

In Wisconsin, where the company already has several stores, a dozen northwestern counties bordering Minnesota are also called "available markets." One notable exception is St. Croix County, which is instead a "future market" that is not open for development yet.

I would like to see one in Hudson. a proper doughnut shop would be nice. I haven't had their coffee, so I can't comment on that and i think the coffee market in Hudson is saturated enough already.

The problem with Hudson is that there was a good bakery downtown but money got in the way of a good product. One of the richest counties in Wisconsin is devoted worship to only the cheapest money can buy.

We would love to see DD here in Hudson! Our son lives in Boston and they have DD's almost every block and they are always packed! We only ate there when we are out East. Their coffee is also the BEST!

This is another LA boxed garbage that doesn't belong here. Plus our Hudson cops are fat enough they don't need donuts
