Shadow Golf Swings

Ways to practice your golf swing indoors when you can't get to a range.

Hank Haney has been a big promoter of this for people who can't get to the range or course to hit balls. 

With this drill you want to simulate your perfect swing.  Start out in slow motion to get the proper sequence and feel of your swing.  Then go to more real speed swings to incorporate into your swing on the golf course.  By doing this drill you will get a few things accomplished: 

1) start to work the golf muscles;

3) develop better timing, rhythm, and tempo in your swing.

The slow motion full swing is a great drill to get the mechanics, sequence, and tempo down in your swing.

You can do this with a weighted club, swing fan, speed stick, broom handle, or a golf club.  Another great idea is to practice it in a mirror so you can visualize where your perfect swing should be.
