Another St. Croix Valley 'Biggest Loser': Rachel Frederickson

The 2007 Stillwater High grad follows in the footsteps of Hudson's Lisa Rambo. Her first appearance on the NBC-TV show is Oct. 15, the Stillwater Gazette reported.

Less than a year after Hudson resident Lisa Rambo nearly won The Biggest Loser, another woman with St. Croix Valley roots is competing in the NBC-TV show's new season.

Rachel Frederickson, a 2007 graduate of Stillwater Area High School and three-time state swimming champion, will appear on the program for the first time on Oct. 15, according to the Stillwater Gazette

In her online contestant video, Frederickson says:

"This second chance means the world to me. Life is about making choices. We all make bad decisions and wish we could go back. Getting this second chance allows me to make the new choice to build that confident girl again and allow the champion swimmer in me to come out and champion my life. ...

"I've watched The Biggest Loser throughout my life, as I was swiming and as I was gaining weight. ... Everyone on there is such an inspiration. This past season it finally—I was so blind to how much I've let myself go and how much I've really hidden everything. It was the moment when I said, 'This has to change.' You need to take the blinders off. You need to realize where you're at and never go back here.

"I am super excited ... to be confident and fun and happy again."
