Traffic Impact of WisDOT Road Construction Projects in the Hudson Area

Highway: I-94

Location: WIS 65 Roberts Interchange (Hudson – Menomonie)
Schedule: April – November 2013
Cost: $24.8 million
Description: Work to resume on the interchange project beginning April 1. A diamond interchange will be constructed with roundabouts at the ramp terminals. Two miles of I-94 will be reconstructed.
Traffic impact: Two lanes of traffic are operating for both east and westbound traffic on the new eastbound alignment. Speed limit is reduced to 55 mph in the area.

Schedule: April - August 2013
Cost: $5.4 million
Description: Concrete pavement repairs and intersection improvements at Carmichael Road.
Traffic Impact: Lane closures during the overnight hours.

Location: Hudson Bridges
Schedule: April - August 2013
Cost: $5.9 million
Description: Epoxy overlays on both bridges.
Traffic impact: I-94 eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one or two lanes during night time closures.

Highway: Hanley Road Interchange Roundabout
Location: River Falls-Hudson
Schedule: April 2013 – to be determined
Cost: $24.8 million
Description: Bridge and concrete improvements
Traffic impact: Eastbound lanes closed from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and westbound lanes closed from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. to begin Monday-Thursday, April 22-25.
