Join author Will Weaver and see Festival Theatre present The Last Farmer as part of this year's Valley Reads events.
The Last Farmer is a one-act play adapted from Will Weaver's short story of the same title. Experience the changing world of the family farm culture through Spencer, a high-tech grain farmer and his urban daughter, Sara. Father and daughter confront his isolation and her longing for community. Jakey, the local sheriff with connections to both of them, faces the realities of a disappearing farm town. Directed by Greg Giles. Donations requested.
Read Will Weaver's Red Earth, White Earth and Nina Revoyr's Wingshooters, discuss them with your friends, families, co-workers and book clubs, and meet the authors at this, or another, Valley Reads event. Valley Reads is a program of ArtReach St. Croix in conjunction with partners up and down the Valley. Events continue through Sunday, April 15.
