Window Smashed With Rock, Hudson Verizon Wireless Store Burglarized

Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said the cell phone shop was the victim of a smash-and-grab burglary early Wednesday morning.

Eight police officers, including five St. Croix County Sheriff's deputies, two Hudson Police officers and one North Hudson Police officer, responded to an alarm at the Verizon Wireless store at 1027 Pearson Drive at about 5 a.m.

Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen issued the following initial statement to Patch on Wednesday morning:

There was a smash and grab at the Verizon store this morning.  Officers arrived and began looking for possible suspects who had broken out the front window of the store with a rock.  We are still working on getting the total numbers of items taken and their costs.
