Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Shop Coming to Hudson

A local developer says he has signed a lease with Orange Leaf in a development currently under construction at Carmichael Road and Center Drive. The building also will house Noodles & Company and Sport Clips.

Orange Leaf, a self-serve frozen yogurt chain store, has signed a lease with a strip mall currently under construction, and will open in 2013, according to David Robson, a partner in the Ban Tara development firm.

There are multiple Orange Leaf locations in southern Wisconsin and Iowa as well as across the nation, but this would be the first in the Twin Cities area. Here's what the Ames Patch business listings directory has to say about it:

Part of a nationwide chain, this local Orange Leaf frozen yogurt shop has convenient daily operating hours. It serves refreshing flavors that change daily, including options such as blueberry, banana, tart, cookies and cream, coconut, wedding cake, strawberry, cotton candy, vanilla, chocolate, cherry and cheesecake, along with sprinkles, candy and fresh fruit toppings.

Operations at Orange Leaf will be similar to those at FreeStyle Yogurt, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop recently opened in downtown Hudson.

Noodles & Company and Sport Clips have already signed leases with Robson, and the building will have space for up to three other tenants.

The new building's outer shell is nearly complete and it will look like the buildings that house other shops in the development, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks, Cold Stone Creamery, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Massage Envy, Mattress Galaxy, FedEx Office, Army Career Center and more.

Robson said construction is scheduled to be completed on the outside of the building by Dec. 1, at which point the spaces will be turned over to the tenants to complete their buildouts.
