A new smoke shop is coming to Hudson.
Shop owner Hatem Younis he is in the last stages of construction and is preparing to open Smokedale Tobacco this month at 1525 Coulee Road, the former site of F&M Bank Landmark branch.
Younis says his shop will offer a wide selection of high-end cigars and will feature one of the biggest humidors in the upper Midwest, much like at . He said he has hired a local manager to run the new Hudson store, and he will continue to run the Oakdale store.
When the Hudson shop opens, it'll face competition from three established Hudson smoke shops: , and .
It was late night and the parking lot was empty. I parked in the parking spot assigned for smokedale customers thinking "I'll grab a drink from tea house then head on over to smokedale to check it out". After grabbing my drink, I made my way over to smokedale. Half way there, I notice the parking lot where I parked my car is empty again. Confuse, I walk into smokedale to ask them if they knew where my car is. They said they dont know, and I should ask the towing company. When I called the towing company, they admitted they towed my car, and that smokedale signed the tow slip giving them permission to do so. The parking lot was empty and I was literally in tea garden for only 5 minutes. It cost me $230 to get my car back; thats $230 that I could have easily spent at smokedale. I am in my 30's and very well off, so losing $230 don't bother me. What does bother me is the fact that I had to leave my family behind while I find a cab during winter to go to the towing company to get my car back. If smokedale does not care about they're customer, then they're customers won't care about them. Smokedale lost a big potential customer today. I will never deal with such a heartless business as long as I live.
