Vine Street Florist closed last year following the death of owner Anita Penman, and Townsend said that many people have stopped by to say, "Anita would be happy."

Townsend will be open this weekend to serve people in town for the Christmas Tour of Homes events put on by the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau and work out the kinks before a short break and re-opening on Dec. 1.
