iPhone 5 Preorders Accepted at Hudson Retailers

You don't have to drive to an Apple retail store and stand in line for hours to get your iPhone 5 on launch day. The device will be available at a handful of local retailers, and preorders start today!

The iPhone 5 has been speculated about and anticipated for several months, and now it is a reality as Apple announced the iPhone 5 at an event in San Francisco Wednesday.

In fact, JP Morgan economist Michael Feroli predicts the device could spur a nationwide spending spree that has the potential to boost the GDP.

Previous versions of the iPhone spurred long lines on launch day at Apple Store locations across the country. But there's no need to travel to a Twin Cities Apple Store and wait in a long line. It will be available soon at several Hudson retailers.

Preorders will be taken at multiple retailers on Friday, Sept. 14. Preordered iPhones are expected to be avilable for pickup on Friday, Sept. 21.

Wouldn't the Apple store, MacXPrts, downtown on Second St have the phone?
Greg Tellijohn September 13, 2012 at 01:06 PM
Butch, We don't carry the iPhone. That is one thing of Apple that we do not carry. We support them with accessories, integrating iTunes & iCloud, etc. We also have been able to replace broken screens out of warranty. Greg

Butch: Perhaps you missed the sentence in there where I quote Greg: "Local Apple aficionado Greg Tellijohn won't have the iPhone 5 at MacXprts or Digital Garage, but he said, 'We will be carrying accessories, and we will support the usage and integrating iTunes and iCloud and syncing.'"
