The Valley House is a family-owned family restaurant on Highway 35 about six miles north of downtown Hudson. It's in a spacious banquet hall right off the highway on the east side of the road. Though most of its business comes from serving weddings, banquets and company functions, it also offers table service. Among the most popular events is a Friday night fish fry every week. It also serves a hamburger that owner Sheena Peterson boasts is "the best in the Valley — and most of my customers agree." The price range is $9.99-$15 and the dress code is "as casual as you want it to be — as long as you have shoes."
