Hudson Patch Week in Review: April 3, 2011

This week brought candidate profiles, city council budget, a life-saving award, a fish-fry guide and a river flood crest.

Hudson Patch presents a review of its most newsworthy stories from the last week. The following stories appeared March 27-April 2:

The St. Croix River level crested at 686.09 feet on Thursday, March 31, 2011, but the current forecast predicts a second crest at 687.3 feet on April 9. The Riverwalk Tollgate Shelter was to be built in Lakefront Park using DNR matching funds. The council transferred the $50,000 set aside for the project to Public Works.

Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen awarded Officer James Wildman a Life Saving award, for his heroic action in saving an individual from jumping off the 11th Street Bridge on March 1, 2011.
