Hudson Patch Week in Review: July 31, 2011

This week brought two recall debates, a Tea Party rally announcement, a Senate hearing for the Stillwater bridge and a flaming porta potty.

Testimony to exempt the St. Croix River Crossing in Stillwater from the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act was heard by a Senate subcommittee this week.

The organization plans multiple stops throughout the state to support six Republican lawmakers who are targeted in the recall elections.

The 7:30 a.m. event was hosted by the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau and livestreamed by Rivertown Newspaper Group on Thursday.

An officer found a burning base of a portable toilet at Anderson Park. The surrounding grass, fence were also scortched. Damages are estimated at about $1,000.
