Hudson Patch Week in Review: May 22, 2011

This week brought a plans for a new barbershop, a restaurant renovation, city server upgrades, a 'Discover Wisconsin' audition video and a Medal of Valor.

Hudson Patch presents a review of its most newsworthy stories from the last week. The following stories appeared May 15-21:

Paul Rode owns Agave Kitchen, Ninja Cab Co. and a restaurant consulting company. He now plans to open Charlie's Barbershop on Buckeye Street.

Carol Weber and her family accepted the Medal of Valor on behalf of her father Clarence Erickson, who was shot and killed in the line of duty before she was born.

Collin is the son of Hudson attorney Mark Gherty, and he hopes he has what it takes to become the next host of 'Discover Wisconsin.'

The new-look San Pedro Cafe is scheduled to re-open on Friday with a new bar area, plenty of booth seating and fresh decor.

The upgrades will cost the city $8,350. There was debate on whether the city should upgrade its current servers or plan for replacing the servers.
