Call for Young Photographers - A Study in Sepia

Call for Young Photographers

First Presbyterian Church of Hudson is calling for children and youth (ages 18 and under) to submit their photos of where they’ve seen God at work in Hudson.

First Presbyterian Church at 1901 Vine Street will be home to a youth photography exhibit in sepia. Youth and children age 18 and under are invited to use their digital devices to compose and edit their own original photographs that depict how and where they see God in and around Hudson and the St. Croix Valley area.

Photographers and their families are invited to worship with the FPC congregation on Sunday, May 11th at 9:30 am. An open fellowship time in the narthex at 10:30 will give the artists the opportunity to meet and talk with those viewing their submissions.

Submission specifications require that the photo be in sepia tones and that the file size and quality be high enough for 11x14 prints. Individuals may submit more than one photograph, but submissions will be adjudicated if only to ensure that there is space for all who choose to submit.

A short write up about the photographer and the subject matter will help First Presbyterian create a unique art-show experience for those who submit and those who will be viewing the works.

Submissions may be printed on satin photo paper sized 11x14 or provided in digital format to fpchudson@sbcglobal.net and the church will print the photograph. Photos will be mounted on foam core and submissions will become the property of FPC to use in future shows or in any other ways that it sees fit, at its sole discretion and without compensation.

All photographers will receive full credit for their submissions, and they will retain the copyrights except as expressed above.
Submission of works to FPC assumes the photographer or her/his legal guardian agrees
to these rules.

Deadline for digital submissions is April 30th. Printed submissions may be turned in no later than May 4.
