Today the United States is a Continental sized country plus Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It has a population of around 315,000,000 people, which is more than 80 times that population. The US has a defense budget of around $1,000,000,000,000 annually including the NASA, CIA, etc.
So, of course we should run it like the Founders did in 1789. So, I suggest we get rid of all of our highways, airports, the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard as they didn't have any of these things. All of the Cell towers should come down, cable TV networks dismantled and the Internet shut down. Since we won't have highways any longer, all of our cars should be melted down.
The ideas of the 18th Century were fine for the 18th Century; however they don't work so very swell in the 21st Century. Welcome to it.
