Read For The Record with Chapter2Books

Read For The Record is a national campaign to promote literacy. On October 3rd people all across the country will be reading Otis by Loren Long.


Each
year, the campaign has shines a national spotlight on America's early
education achievement gap .Since 2006, the campaign has:

  • Engaged 9 MILLION children
  • Raised more than $8 MILLION for early education programs
  • Provided more than 1.2 MILLION books for children in low-income neighborhoods
Previous books read have included:
Llama Llama Red Pajama, The Little Engine That Could, Corduroy, The Snowy Day etc.

Chapter2Books will have a sign up sheet at the counter that your child can sign to pledge to read Otis on 10/3. By signing you'll receive 25% off one children's book of your choice and enter a drawing to win a prize.
