Local reality TV celebrity, Lisa Rambo, will speak at Faith Community Church’s fall LATTE event on Saturday, Oct. 12. Rambo competed on Season 14 of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” losing a total of 108 pounds. She is a special education assistant at Hudson High School and mother of four.

“We invite you to join us at Faith Community to hear Lisa’s story of transformation as a contestant on ‘The Biggest Loser,’” LATTE Director Sheri Zimmermann said.

Rambo’s presentation on Oct. 12, “The First Step is a BIG One,” is the first in a two-part series, and will take place in FCC’s auditorium at 777 Carmichael Road in Hudson. The event is free and open to women throughout the St. Croix Valley. The doors open at 8 a.m. with a light breakfast. The program will begin at 9 a.m.

“Women are welcome to bring their middle-school or high-school-age daughters to the event, too,” Zimmermann added.

The second part of Rambo’s series will be held on April 12, 2014, and is entitled, “Living as New Creations.”

The two events are hosted by Faith Community’s women’s ministry, LATTE (Ladies Achieving Togetherness Through Encouragement), which is celebrating its 10th season this fall. Each year, LATTE chooses a theme, and this year’s theme is “Be Strong.” It comes from a Bible verse, Ephesians 6:10: “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

LATTE offers a variety of ways for women to connect and learn together. You can find more information about all the LATTE events happening at FCC this fall on the LATTE-Women’s Ministry Facebook page or at fcchudson.com/LATTE.
