'Love Will Change' was released on September 26th, we think you will find it to be the most compassionate songs of the year. Tonia Hughes Kendrick did an incredibly moving performance on the song written and produced by Hudson's Jordan Erdman.
Jordan's message is to change the lives of children - one child at a time.
The project started out small, Jordan's friend Angelique Dove Hatch has 4 children, 3 of whom she adopted. She made a YouTube video showing her beautiful children through the adoption process and their lives after moving to their forever home with the Hatches. The video kept getting taken down for copyright violations with the music that had been used, so Jordan set out to write her a song that she could use.
Angelique is also a board member of Joint Council, her role is approving plans for Joint Council and their role is giving HOPE, a VOICE and protecting the needs of children living without forever families.
Sitting at the piano surrounded by photos of orphaned children Jordan began to work on 'Love Will Change.' Bringing in Tonia Hughes to sing the vocals, the song came to life and had everyone in the control room in tears and so it began, the once small project became huge. Adding a gospel choir Billy Steele, Tonia Hughes, David Hurst, Sara Lucille Renner, Darlene Miller, NeeCee Spearman-Davis and the Land of Lakes Choirboys directed by Aaron Carpenter.
Piano and B3 organ was done by Tommy Barbarella, bass players Tony Axtell, drums Brian Kendrick, violin and cello Derek Nakamoto.
Erdman sent the song to Los Angeles to be mixed by Rob Chiarelli and then on to Nashville, Tennessee to be master by John Mayfield at Mayfield Mastering. Recording and engineering was done by Jordan and Adam Colt at Sevens-Gate Recording Studio, Hudson, WI.
