In Loving Memory of Ellie Berg

Elizabeth Rose Berg “Ellie”, age 20, of Hudson, WI, died suddenly on September 30, 2013 in St. Paul, MN.  Ellie was born on December 7, 1992 to Greg and Judy (Koch) Berg in St. Paul, MN.  She grew up in Hudson, WI with her sister, Katie and brothers, Joe and Mikey.  She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School and graduated with the  Hudson High School’s class of 2010.  She loved working as an aide for the elderly and most recently had earned her CNA at St. Paul College.

Ellie was a fiercely independent young woman.  She was a lifelong lover of animals, always willing to take in strays and help pets in need.  Her beautiful smile and fun loving spirit were infectious among her friends and family.  Her family and friends were proud of her strength and determination as she faced life’s challenges.  She was a good daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend who touched many during her journey.

Ellie is survived by her parents, Greg and Judy of Hudson, WI; brothers, Joe of Houston, TX and Mikey of San Diego CA; sister, Katie of Hudson, WI; grandmother, Mary Berg of St. Paul, MN; grandfather, Robert Koch of St. Paul, MN as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins and dear friends.  She is further survived by her cats, Winnie, Grace, Dusty and Jack.

Ellie is preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Berg, grandmother, Dolores Koch, aunt, Rose and cousin, Barb.

A Funeral Mass for Ellie will be held at 7pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.  Visitation will be held from 4pm until time of service.  Memorials given will be donated in her memory to a charity of the family’s choosing.  Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home - Hudson Chapel.   715.386.3725  www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com
