OBITUARY: Stan Dahm, age 56, of Hudson, WI

Stanley E. “Stan” Dahm, age 56, of Hudson, WI, passed away on June 8, 2014, with his family at his side.

Stan was born on July 31, 1957 in Hudson,WI to Chester and Marjorie (Chappelle) Dahm. He was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1975. Following high school, he attended WITC for Welding.

In 1977, he began his career at Andersen Windows, a company which he retired from in 2013 after 36 years.

On November 8, 1980, he was united in marriage to Sue Elizabeth Caress at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson, WI. Their marriage would be blessed with three children: Holly, Cale, and Nick. 

He took great pride in his family farm, and loved giving visitors tours and pasture cruises. He also enjoyed woodworking, and attributed much of his talents and skills to his father, who taught him so much.

He was a proud Packer and Badger fan, enjoyed NASCAR, motocross, mini golf, and wrestling. Stan enjoyed participating in Pepper Fest, especially in 2001 when he was Pepper Fest King. 

Stan loved life and was passionate about living it to the fullest. He was so proud of his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Stan will remain in the hearts of his wife, Sue; children: Holly (Luke) Steele, Cale (Abbie) Dahm, and Nick (significant other, Grace Whitmore) Dahm; grandchildren: Henry and George Steele, and one on the way; sister, Susan (Ed) Galucki; brother, Barry Dahm; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Marjorie Dahm.

A Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. A gathering of friends and family will be from 4-7 p.m. following the service at the funeral home. Memorials to the family are preferred.
