Firefighters Respond to Snowmobile Fire in Town of Hudson

Hudson Fire crews responded to reports of a snowmobile fire and found a machine fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.

Emergency personnel from Hudson Fire Department and the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a snowmobile on fire in the 900 block of County Road A south of McCutcheon Road at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The machine was fully engulfed in flames directly on the snowmobile trail when a fire crew arrived. It appeared that snowmobile operator was traveling with a small group and that no one was injured in the incident. The group urged passersby to keep their distance in fear of the machine's full fuel tank might explode.

The firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and no one appeared to be injured.
