The following is the full text of the National Weather Service freezing fog advisory:

...FREEZING FOG COULD CREATE SLIPPERY SPOTS TONIGHT...

.LIGHT WINDS... LINGERING LOW LEVEL MOISTURE... AND PERIODS OF CLEAR SKIES WILL LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOG ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH THE FOG IS NOT EXPECTED TO BECOME DENSE... IT COULD FREEZE ONTO SURFACES GIVEN EXPECTED LOW TEMPERATURES FROM AROUND 5 TO 10 ABOVE ZERO. TRAVEL COULD BECOME HAZARDOUS WHERE FREEZING FOG OCCURS... PARTICULARLY ON UNTREATED SURFACES AFTER 10 PM CST. A FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM CST THIS EVENING THROUGH 9 AM CST SUNDAY... GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM MANKATO THROUGH THE SOUTHERN TWIN CITIES METRO AREA AND HUDSON TO MENOMONIE.

... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN HAS ISSUED A FREEZING FOG ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM CST SUNDAY.

* TIMING: AREAS OF FOG ARE EXPECTED TO FORM BY MID TO LATE EVENING... AND PERSIST FOR A FEW HOURS AFTER SUNRISE.

* VISIBILITY: VISIBILITIES WILL GENERALLY REMAIN ABOVE ONE MILE... ALTHOUGH THEY COULD DROP TO A AROUND HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS: BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL CAUSE FOG TO FREEZE ONTO SURFACES... MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT ON UNTREATED ROADS AND WALKWAYS.

A FREEZING FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 3 MILES DUE TO FREEZING FOG. IF DRIVING... SLOW DOWN...USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU. ALSO...BE ALERT FOR FROST ON BRIDGE DECKS CAUSING SLIPPERY ROADS.
