Burn Ban Lifted

Starting Friday, Nov. 11, the burn ban on the City of Hudson, the Village of North Hudson, the Town of Hudson and the Town of Troy will be lifted.

UPDATE (2:15 p.m., Nov. 10, 2011): Effective 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, the burn ban will be lifted, according to Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye. 

Frye encourages residents to follow these fire safety tips while burning:

  1. Follow the burning ordinances for your municipality.
  2. Burn during periods of light wind.
  3. Only burn what you can control.
  4. Be sure to completely extinguish everything when done.

The Hudson Fire Department Chief Jim Frye has issued the following burn ban:

Effective Oct. 5, 2011, at 12 a.m. (midnight) a burning ban will be in effect until further notice for the following municipalities: City of Hudson, Village of North Hudson, Town of Hudson, and Town of Troy. No outside burning will be allowed except for gas and charcoal grills.
