Hudson Fire Crew Responds to Deck Blaze at North Hudson Home

Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye says a planter on a deck spontaneously combusted and caused about $500 damage to the outside of the home. No one was injured.

A Hudson Fire crew responded to a fire call at a home in the 700 block of Riverside Drive North in North Hudson at 3:42 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22. The crew arrived on scene at 3:51 p.m. and was cleared at 4:16 p.m.

According to Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye, a planter on the deck spontaneously combusted and caused about $500 damage to the outside of the home. No one was injured.

The home owners were unaware of the blaze until neighbors called the fire department, Frye said.
