Hudson Police Blotter: Police Respond to Call to Find Drunk Man Sleeping It Off in His Car

Sleeping It Off: At about 6:10 a.m. on Saturday morning, police responded to a complaint about a vehicle parked on River Ridge Road with a man sleeping inside. When the officer arrived, the driver's side back door was open into traffic and a young man appeared to be asleep inside. The officer noted a smell of intoxicants in the vehicle. The man told the officer he was going to sleep for a while. The officer asked the man to shut the door so no one would hit it.

Abandoned Bike: A woman who lives in the 1900 block of Hunter Hill Road reported on Friday, July 8, that a bicycle had been left in her back yard for about a week. The bike is a 20-inch Mongoose bike. A Hudson officer picked up the bike and brought it to the city's impound garage.

Theft From Vehicle/Identity Theft: On Monday, a man reported that a theft from his vehicle parked on the 1900 block of Magnolia Trail had taken place on June 29 and that he was now noticing suspicous charges on his checking account. The man reported that his car was unlocked and initially thought only some loose change had been taken.

Hit and Run: On Monday, July 11, Hudson Police responded to a hit-and-run call at O'Neil Road and Harvey Street. According to the accident report, a gold or tan GMC Jimmy pulled out from the stop sign travelling east on Harvey Street in front of another driver. After the vehicles collided, the driver of the Jimmy fled the scene.
