Hudson Police Investigate Robbery at Subway

Police are investigating a robbery at the Hudson Subway restaurant in Southside Center, next to the Holiday Station on Crestview Drive.

At about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday a suspect walked into Subway, ordered a sandwich and when it came time to pay, the man handed an employee a note essentially saying: “Hand over the money. Don’t scream,” Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said.

The employee handed over the money, and the suspect then fled the store.Hudson Police arrived within about 90 seconds of the call, Jensen said. But the suspect was gone on arrival.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, who is about 6-feet tall, wearing a flannel shirt over a white T-shirt, a black cap and black gloves.

No one was injured, Jensen said.

If anyone saw anything suspicious between 10:15-10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jensen asks that the call the Hudson Police Department with information at (715) 386-4771.

Police are passing the information along to other jurisdictions and working to gather a photo of the suspect from video surveillance, Jensen said.
