Hudson Shooting Victim's Brother: 'I Don't Want to See Anyone in Any Community Shot'
The St. Paul Pioneer Press talked to one of two men injured in Sunday's shooting, as well as family members of a woman who was shot.
One of the three victims of a Sunday morning shooting in downtown Hudson talked to the St. Paul Pioneer Press briefly at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The man didn't give his name. "I just got shot in the shoulder," he told the newspaper. "They are keeping me to do an MRI."
He said a second man who was shot is "fine" and had been released. Family members of the third victim, a woman, told Pioneer Press reporters she was in surgery.
The first man's brother, Sullivan Hersi, said of the local Somali community: "We come here to work and have a nice life to escape a war. I don't want to see anyone in this community shot. Not my brother. Not anybody. I don't want to see anyone in any community shot."
