Nichole Haugen Convicted in Parent Group Theft

The 30-year-old former treasurer of a Willow River Elementary parents group was sentenced to one month in jail for stealing $34,000.

Nichole Haugen, the former treasurer of the Willow River Parent Group, on Wednesday pleaded no contest to multiple counts of theft from a business setting for .

The Hudson Star Observer reported that Haugen was ordered to pay $22,874 in restitution to the parent group, and was ordered to serve 30 days in jail, 120 hours of community service, and be on probation for three years. She was also fined $1,214.
