One Person Arrested after 'Potential Threat' at Government Center

One person was arrested Friday morning after deputies responded to a "potential threat" inside the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson. Starting Monday access to the government center will require security screening.

There will be an increase in security at the St. Croix County Government Center on Monday as the insanity hearing for Aaron Schaffhausen continues into the second week.

The security measures come after one person was arrested Friday morning after deputies responded to a “potential threat” inside the St. Croix County Government Center, according to St. Croix County Sheriff John Shilts.

Authorities say there is no other known threat to the public, but those headed to the courthouse on Monday should be aware that access to the government center will require security screening.
