One Person Transported After Townhouse Fire on Tall Grass Street

The cause of Sunday morning's townhouse fire in the 1400 block of Tall Grass Street is still under investigation and is being handled by the Hudson Police Department and the State Fire Marshal.

Firefighters extinguished a townhome fire Sunday in the 1400 block of Tall Grass Street in Hudson.

Hudson firefighters, police and St. Croix EMS responded to a structure fire Sunday morning at 1437 Tall Grass St. after the neighbor in an adjacent townhouse unit smelled smoke and went to investigate, Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye said. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was showing from the building.

Fire crews were quick to control the flames and keep it from spreading into the adjacent unit, Frye said.Β The occupants of the townhome unit are Shane Thorsen and Antoinette Smith.
