Reports: No One Hurt in St. Croix Co. Nursing Home Fire

HFD sent fire fighters and equipment to the Glenhaven Nursing Home, about 38 miles east of Hudson.

Fire struck a nursing home in Glenwood City Tuesday morning, drawing more than 100 fire fighters from about 20 departments, according to media reports.

That included the Hudson Fire Department, which sent three vehicles (an engine, a tanker, and support 9) as well as eight firefighters.

All 32 residents of Glenhaven Nursing Home were safely taken to another location, according to KSTP and the Star Tribune.

The blaze, which started at about 5 a.m., was concentrated on an addition under construction, the Star Tribune reported.

That part of the structure was fully involved, KARE 11 reported, citing WEAU.

Glenwood City is about 38 miles east of Hudson.
